Never have we seen such a madhouse as at the pearl seller's tables when we were in Tucson ("the world's largest gem show").. We were fortunate to be able to obtain the biwa pearls we show you here. Customers were scooping them up with both hands, not even looking at the individual strands! We've never seen such a pearl battle zone.

Nice large Tahiti Pearls
Here is a large tahiti freshwater pearl that will look beautiful with sterling silver or other
gemstones or pearls. It has a wonderful iridescence and glows in tones of silver,
purple, green, gray depending on the light. It's 10x7mm which is a pretty chunky size of pearl.

We show these together with the copper potato pearls so you can see how the colors

| Above left are 3 choices in our new biwa pearl selection. The colors and luster are superior. We chose
these very carefully from one of the biggest suppliers in the US. Top are white biwa shapes extremely iridescent. About 15mm long, 5mm wide, top drilled. These are tops in luster and quality. Shown in the choker design with our tiny lavender button pearl spacers. White biwa, 16" strand, out of stock. Middle, a very rich and unique color, a gold-toned coppery color biwa that is drilled in the center. These are choice and you will be seeing them in very high-end jewelry. | These freshwater pearls in the potato shape are a wonderful soft bronzy gold with green and mauve overtones. Stunning in a bracelet or necklace and matching ear dangles! There are 65 beads on a strand, all pretty closely matched, and the quality is very good. 6.5 to 7mm. The photo makes them look flat, but they are round and plump. Tourmaline & Pearl Bracelet

| These beautiful 15" tourmaline strands are mostly pink, as I discovered
when I made the 3-strand bracelet with one of the strands (sold out). The color distribution on each strand
is about 75% pink, 20% green, and 5% black (I didn't string any black). The chips are around 6mm wide. White pearls look
lovely with the tourmaline. About the bracelet: I added some sterling fancy beads from Bali. The spacer bars prevent the bracelet from losing its shape. The findings are for sale on our Toolbox page. I really like the look of the copper toggle with the tourmaline. |
