Unique Dzi Beads with Sterling Ends
Very special, unique "dzi" beads with sterling repousse endcaps. They are old. The size is impressive, 2 inches to 2.25 inches long, 16mm in diameter at the center. Would be outstanding with the mammoth ivory pendant or any of teh interesting bone beads on this page. Dzi bead with sterling, $24.99 each.
Delicate, Antique "Shard" Porcelain Pendants
These one of a kind pendants, created from antique porcelain pottery shards, get snapped up whenever I have them. On the left, a man doing Tai-chi, 1.5" wide. Middle, an older gent with a parasol at the river. Right, a young man in traditional scholars' clothing, 1.75" high. Each shard is set into a sterling bezel and has a loop for your fine silk cord. The background is pure white, and the pastel tints are lovely and permanent. Shard pendant, $59.99 each.
Large Amber Pendant with Leaves, Insect Wings?
This is a large extremely old Baltic amber pendant with a lot of natural material caught inside. Or is that large clump a honey bee? On the back, part of the plant material oozed through the amber. There are parts of plants and what look like insect wings, also a tiny insect which you can't see. The hanging loop is 14k gold and can accommodate a strand of up to 3mm beads, which I doubled in the photo. You can also hang it from a chunky silk cord. One of a kind--the size and contents make it unique. Length 2", width 1.5" and 3/4" thick. Amber pendant, $155.00.
Jewelry from Antiquity
I believe this elaborate piece was attached to the burka (Muslim woman's tentdress). I like the idea that it is now a wonderful design to convert into a necklace to wear with a low neckline. It has sturdy hooks on each end and in the center and would easily convert to a necklace. Chimes with soft bell like sounds when you move. It is in perfect condition. Tribal necklace, $155.00
One of a Kind Brooch
|
| Outstanding Ornate Amethyst Brooch This one-of-a-kind brooch has everything. Transparent amethyst crystal, opaque turquoise pieces, every shape including round, pear, baguette, marquise, square, set into prong settings and bezel settings, with granulation, and an off-center pinback so it will lie properly when worn. The mounting is a rich burnished gold. Two full inches in diameter, and about a half inch in height. The large centerpiece, 15mm, sits higher than the rest giving this piece a fascinating 3-dimensional look. Unsigned, reminiscent of runway jewelry from House of Chanel. Amethyst brooch, $99.00. |
Elegant Jet Set
Here is an elegant sophisticated set of pin and clip earrings that you'll wear repeatedly. The pin can also be attached to a cord or knotted scarf & worn as a pendant. The earclips can go anywhere, any time of day. What a stunning accent for a red jacket or blouse. This is a vintage set in mint condition from the 1950s. The pin measures 2.5" x 2". The earclips are an inch in diameter and have a large faceted jet stone in the center. Everything set into well finished black metal. Jet set, 3 piece set, $75.00.
Beautiful Pin and Earclips Set
A beautiful set of impressive brooch and matching earclips. Each stone is prong set in silver. The colors are intense teal and black diamond, the set is in mint condition. The pin has a 3-tier design for dimensionality. It is just over 2 inches wide and projects about a half inch. Since it is not flat it has a lot of presence. The earclips are about one inch high and are reversed. Not signed but looks like Weiss, Juliana, or Kramer. Teal 3 piece set, $75.00.
Weiss Mint 4-piece Set, Floral
Very rare, a boxed set of Weiss floral jewelry: necklace, circle brooch, earclips. Mint condition and
just lovely with peridot, chrysolite, and daffodil pastel tints in a typical Weiss floral design prong set in gilt with enameled leaves.
The necklace is a choker, 15”, for a slender neck. The pin is about 2” in diameter. Earclips about an inch. The
enamel has worn off one of the leaves on the earclip. Would be easy to replace with craft paint, but is
hardly noticeable. Signed. This is certainly one of a kind. The box is black velvet, probably supplied by the jewelry
store that sold the set.
Weiss 4-piece set, $250.00.
Lovely Sterling Rose Necklace
This hand-cast and forged sterling necklace was created from beautifully detailed rose motifs, 3-dimensional,
about a half inch square and a quarter-inch high, linked together with stamped sterling floral motifs.
Each rose was carefully built up in 3 layers of tiny sterling elements positioned just so to make
the rose.
There are 14 roses on the necklace which is 16" long. You could easily lengthen the necklace somewhat
by attaching rings to the end in back. The clasp is the original spring ring, very secure.
This necklace is in MINT condition, labeled sterling. It has a wonderful patina. It's not
heavy, but it is substantial. The maker used the right gauge silver for this piece.
Probably about 40 years old.
Sterling rose necklace, $125.00.
Very Old Sterling Stirrup Earrings
Here is a great little vintage pair of earrings that I found at a Cowboy Show in Wyoming. They are
sterling and were most likely made a long time ago in Mexico. The rowels do spin around! The detailing is excellent.
For pierced ears. About 1.5" long. The wild rose design at the top is a strong indicator of Mexican origin. They
have a lovely dark patina. Stirrup earrings, $40.00.
Gorgeous Bracelet with Crystals
Here is a mint condition piece that I believe is vintage Haskell but there is no signature.
There are 20 strands of shiny dark gray Charlottes (type of faceted glass
bead) each side of a large rhinestone ball and rondels in the center. The ends of the charlottes are
held by rhinestone caps. Spring ring clasp. 7.5" long but suitable for a smaller wrist size.
Charlotte bracelet, $90.00.
Stunning Ruby Bracelet
This bracelet is a rare one indeed. Huge 20mm rosy "Ruby" faceted stones set in alternating square & diagonal fashion. The setting is goldtone, with a beautiful crown gallery bezel for each stone. The prongs are shaped decoratively as well. One of a kind! For a small wrist, this bracelet is 6.5" long. Mint condition. Photo reduced. ruby bracelet, $99.00.
Old Pawn Ring
This is a very well made cast sterling ring that was pawned and left. The turquoise stone is a lovely blue color. You can easily see the handmade quality. The maker signed it but that has rubbed off. I would estimate the age of this to be at least 40 years old. Size 7-1/2. This ring has some history! I purchased it years ago in Gallup NM. Sterling pawn ring, $45.00.
Sarah Coventry Design
Wearable and beautiful Sarah Coventry design, a "button" earclip with pinwheel swirls of turquoise, ruby, and teal with a sparkling crystal center. THe goldtone setting is twisted in a rope design. These are light and easy to wear, exactly one inch in diameter. Very ladylike yet just fine for the office. Mint condition. Coventry clip earrings, $65.00.
Dynamic Topaz Set
|
| The image above shows a dramatic topaz brooch with the curving arabesque pave shapes so specific to high-end designer creations by Weiss, Eisenberg, or Kramer. The brooch is almost 3.5" long and 2.5" wide and rises almost one full inch from the pin back! There are 3 different tonalities of topaz as well as the aurora borealis pave stones in the curved elements. The earrings are clips and are left & right facing. All stones are original and the 3 pieces are in MINT condition. These are not signed--they were probably part of a set in which the necklace and bracelet were signed, unfortunately we do not have those. Goldtone mountings. Topaz brooch and clips, $99.00. |
Regal Amethyst for your Wrist
The high quality of the stones and settings of this delicate bracelet make it look as good as the
real thing. The amethyst crystals are quite large, and the goldtone setting is in mint condition.
For a small wrist. Length 6.5".
Amethyst crystal bracelet, $60.00.
Pink Ice Cubic Zirconia Bracelet
|
| Wow! This bracelet sparkles and flashes. It's "pink ice" cubic zirconia faceted triangle stones prong set in 18karat vermeil (there is a 925 stamp meaning it's sterling under the gold). The photo does NOT show how beautiful this piece really is. The pink color is perfect and it fits like a dream because it's so flexible. Secure double-step jewelers' clasp. Length 7.5". You'll get so much pleasure from wearing this bracelet. Pink CZ bracelet, $125.00. |
Unique Earclips
MINT condition pair of earclips. The jet dangles are in a style very difficult to find. About
1.25" long. Note the mountings are jet as well.
Jet drop earclips, $55.00.
On the right in the photo, a wonderful pair of "black moonstone" earclips with crystal AB borders. They don't have lines in the center, that's just the reflection from the scanner. The center is transparent black. About an inch in diameter. Black and crystal disc earclips, $35.00. black disc earclips
Choice Weiss Pin
Here is a mint condition Weiss pin that belongs on the shoulder of that sexy gown you plan to wear to your
next fancy party. Miss America 2002 has one like it! Only I bet hers is not a vintage piece.
This one looks like a tic tac toe board filled with O's. The center crystals are chatons,
a special type of cut that really sparkles--hand set for sure. No replacements, everything original. Signed
Weiss. Similar to a Kramer pin valued at $200. Measures 1-3/4" square. Secure safety catch. Ignore any discoloration
you see in the image since the pin is brilliant white with no off color.
Weiss tictactoe pin, $75.00.
Elegant Choker
Here is a mint condition charming brilliant choker with unusual triangle shape drops, faceted and
glowing like a rainbow! Tiny, delicate, and so flattering on a pretty neck. This will complete any
dressy outfit you own. It's just over a quarter of an inch high but makes a huge impact. Length 17"
adjustable to much smaller. Signed B. David.
David Crystal choker, $99.00.
Tailored Sterling with Vermeil
This is a beautiful and unusual sterling and vermeil creation that is flexible as silk. Tiny squares of
sterling, gold, and pink gold line up in the center between borders of sterling herringbone and
edgings of tiny granules. Truly I have never seen pink gold used over sterling like this, but it is gorgeous and an immediate
indication that this piece is from Europe.
7.5" long, about a half inch wide. Light as a feather. Secure push in clasp with
latch. Signed 925 Italy Milor. Tailored sterling bracelet, $75.00.
Jade Bracelet--2 Looks in One!
|
| This bracelet with its oval jade cabochons set in rich goldtone mounts can be worn with the jade or with the gold side showing. The stones feel cool and soothing on the skin if you turn the gold side to the outside. The settings are covered with tiny gold dots (granules) that give lots of texture and eye appeal. The size of each oval is 12mm x 10mm, and about 9mm high. Secure push-in clasp "disappears" when closed. Intact safety chain. The design is reminiscent of the stem of an Oriental lily plant. It is signed but I could not read the mark. (Swobora?) Exactly 7" long but because of the height of the links, recommended for a smaller wrist. Jade 2-sided bracelet, excellent condition, $139.00 REDUCED! $110.00 A STEAL. |
Sterling Turquoise Pendant or Pin
Here is a vintage sterling pin or pendant made in Mexico with a symbolic face in the center, surrounded with turquoise
inlay in the mountain/river motif. 2" in diameter. An older piece from Jalisco. Stamped with makers mark & 925 on the back.
Jalisco pin, $25.00.
Stanley Hagler Earclips
|
| If you love drama, you will make quite an entrance in these unbelievable pendeloque ear clips. They have all the painstaking Hagler trademarks, the floral motifs, and the intricate bead weaving. The color is a luscious pastel aqua blue (photo is a bit light). The goldtoned accents, shaped as leaves, are perfect. The size is 2.5" high and about 2" wide at the top. They are sizeable but they are very lightweight so they are a joy to wear. Stanley Hagler passed away in 1996. His brothers identified these for me as having been made in the early 1970s. Signed Stanley Hagler NYC. Some of this type of jewelry has been confused with Miriam Haskell, who also made bead weaving floral motifs into an art. Aqua Hagler earclips, $125.00. |
Obsession for Jewelry
|
| Here is the result of one obsessed collector! Every piece is in mint condition and interesting to see. This was at the costume jewelry show in Rhode Island, once the location of most of the important costume jewelry factories in the US. |
Please note: Your purchase of a vintage jewelry item is a final sale. These are one-of-a-kind pieces in mint condition.
