What is the point of Naviance? ›

Naviance provides the tools for students to explore their personal interests and skills and apply that to their postsecondary aspirations following graduation. The platform makes it easy to create a comprehensive approach districtwide while still allowing schools to customize the experience for their students.

College Research: Naviance allows you to search for colleges and view information, such as their acceptance rates, majors offered, average SAT/ACT scores, and more.

Naviance Student is an easy-to-use, free app that helps you organize school work and the college planning process. To access the app, your school must use Naviance.

Yes, the numbers may indicate that you are in the right range generally, but they don't take into account your fit with the institution, the strength of your essay, or any recommendation letters.

Naviance can be quite useful in your college search process as it provides a platform to research schools, analyze college acceptance trends, and understand your chances based on your school's historical data.

One popular tool to view historical admissions data, Naviance—used by hundreds of thousands of high school students each year—displays admissions outcomes for past applicants from a student's high school, highlighting the average grade-point average and standardized test scores of admitted students.

Go to Naviance under the Scholarship tab to view available scholarships. Check your emails and create your portal accounts. Colleges will communicate with you through their portals.

Sending With Parchment

On the sending side of electronic admissions documents, Parchment and Naviance are distinct companies that offer different service experiences based on their own technologies. Some high schools use eDocs to send their admissions documents.

Naviance allows you to link multiple students with one parent record. Once the records are linked, the parent can sign in to a single Family Connection account and select any of his or her children to view.

Colleges do not have access to information on Naviance. However, you may want to request a copy of your transcript from your school to make sure that what is being sent to colleges is accurate.
